When the husband went to the doctor last week for bronchitis, the doctor did blood work. His cholesterol and triglycerides are so high again. I don't know exactly what his cholesterol is, but the tri levels were 580, considering they should be 150 or less it's not good. I've had mine checked once and they were all normal. I do believe that a lot of it is hereditary, his family has high levels of these and a lot of heart stuff and high blood pressure. Then again, I walk, eat lots of veggies and fruit. The husband has a little addiction going again with the WOW game, if he's not at work he can be found sitting at his desk playing and doing nothing else day and night. Exercise is boring to him. Not that it's a treat for me, but I know that it's good for the body and makes me feel better, so I do it.
We went to the store yesterday, first time I managed to get him out of the house in weeks other than work. Anyway, we went to the store to get more healthy foods. I always have lots of stuff in the house, but was running a little low and with him eating on it also we needed more. I've reminded him that one of the ways to lower these levels is to get out and walk 30 minutes daily, he's not up for it though. He says that he doesn't like to go with me, because I say 30 minute walk and then walk for an hour or longer.
We got in line at the store last night and he was annoyed that it was like five minutes to seven. That was because Supernatural was coming on in five minutes and he was not home sitting in front of the tv. I like tv and the computer, but I don't spend all my time sitting there doing that. I told him there's more to life than tv and video games. He said there wasn't, so I told him, fine I give up, sit there and never do anything, I just give up.
I know this turned into a little bit of a rant about the husband, not trying to be mean. I am certainly no person to talk about someone else really, but it's his health and it seems like he might care just a little bit. But playing the WOW game for 18 hrs + everyday on the weekends is all he cares about right now.
