So I just did something good for me, but very hard to do. The husband and I tossed all the sweets and junk out into the trash can outside. It's been building up, making more sweets and buying more. Having more quick things from the store, like pizza and hot pockets and such. It's always seems to build up in December. With all the holiday goodies out in the store. That and traditions, certain foods every year.

But I've had enough and even my acid reflux is worse than it's been in like two years. So I'm through and I'm back to no junk in the house. I've tossed it all out and hopefully I'll be able to resist in the store also. It's usually not a problem there, I go in and only buy good stuff. As long as I don't plan to buy those things ahead of time.

It was really hard to toss food out, but it was the only way to do it. If it stays, then the next day I'm back to nibbling a little on it. The money paid for the food was thought of, but I just let it all go. I even got back to drinking soda the last two days. I haven't had soda in six months. Also chips, hadn't bought those in a year or so and in the past month bought them several times for all of us, even me.

I'm already planning out New Year's Eve, because we are having a little thing. Some family coming over, movies, and snacks. Our plan was to get China Buffet, it's a tradition on New Year's Eve, rent some movies we can all watch, and just have family time. I still want to do China Buffet though, just have to take it very easy. Also planning fresh veggies and light dip for the snacks.

Another thing I'm working on is going to bed by midnight, tonight it's well beyond that but tomorrow night we're starting that.

And a lot of this could be a little bit of an up, but the husband hopefully will continue to be with me on this and support each other. I'm off to bed, I've got to set the alarm and get up in about five hours to get the kids picked up and doing a little fun shopping.

Throwing out the junk is a GREAT was to get back on track! I have been tossing out cookies and fudge all day (husband doesnt like me to throw out food, so I just toss a few here and there so it looks like I ate it. LOL!)

We will do this... hang in there!
